The Tree Glass Platter is a hand-painted glass platter cut in the shape of a Christmas tree. The shape does the decorating — set it out with nothing on it and the table already looks finished. Part of Mud Pie's Winter Wonderland collection.
Why You'll Love It
- Tree-shaped, not round — it reads as decor the moment it's on the table, empty or full
- Hand-painted glass, so no two are identical and the finish has depth a printed piece doesn't
- Glass rather than ceramic — lighter to pass around and easy to wipe down between courses
- Works empty as a centerpiece or a catch-all on a console
- The Christmas Eve cookie plate, which is the kind of thing families use for years running

What Goes On It
Cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. Fudge, divinity, and whatever came out of the tins the neighbours dropped off. Cheese and crackers before dinner. It's the shape that makes a plate of store-bought cookies look like you meant it, which is most of what holiday serveware is for.
It also makes a strong hostess gift — bring it with cookies already on it and the plate stays behind as the present.
Frequently Asked Questions
What shape is it?
A Christmas tree, cut from glass rather than a round platter with a tree printed on it.
What's it made of?
Hand-painted glass.
Can I put it in the dishwasher?
Care instructions aren't published for this piece. Hand-painted glass is generally best hand washed to protect the paint — check the packaging when it arrives.
Is it a serving platter or decoration?
Both. It's a functional platter, and the tree shape means it holds its own as a centerpiece when it's empty.
