The Happy Thanksgiving Gingham Hem Towel is a 100% cotton hand towel with a contrast woven gingham hem, measuring 26" x 16 1/2". Crucially, it's machine washable — which is what separates a towel you actually use on Thanksgiving from one that hangs there looking nice.
Why You'll Love It
- Machine washable — cold wash, line dry. Most decorative holiday towels are hand-wash only and end up as display pieces
- Woven gingham hem, not printed — the check is in the weave, so it won't crack or fade off
- Beige and khaki rather than orange, so it sits with a neutral kitchen instead of shouting at it
- Generous 26" x 16 1/2" — big enough to line a bread basket, not just dry a hand
- 100% cotton, so it's genuinely absorbent

The Towel You Can Actually Use On The Day
Thanksgiving is the one day a kitchen towel earns its keep — gravy, pie filling, someone's wet hands every four minutes. A towel that has to be hand washed gets hung up decoratively and quietly replaced with an old one for the actual cooking. This one goes in the machine on Friday morning and comes back for next year.
Line a bread basket with it, drape it over the oven handle, or fold it into a host gift with a jar of preserves. At this price it's easy to buy two — one to give, one to keep.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can it go in the washing machine?
Yes — machine wash cold with like colours, non-chlorine bleach only, line dry, and iron on the reverse if needed.
What size is it?
26" x 16 1/2", a generous hand towel size that also works as a tea towel or bread basket liner.
Is the gingham printed on?
No — it's a contrast woven hem, so the check is part of the fabric rather than a surface print.
What colour is it?
Beige and khaki, which keeps it neutral enough to leave out through the whole autumn season.
