Nurses spend all day taking care of everyone else. This is our hand-picked collection of gifts for nurses at Adelyne's Boutique & Gifts — travel mugs, notepads, and gift-boxed keepsakes chosen because they actually get used on a 12-hour shift, not shoved in a drawer.
Most of what's here lands between $3 and $28, which makes it easy to grab something for one nurse or the whole unit.
What to give, and when
-
Nurses Week (May 6–12) and National Nurses Day. Small, giftable, and easy to buy in multiples for a whole floor or department.
-
Nursing school graduation and pinning. A keepsake for a brand-new RN, LPN or BSN who just finished the hardest two years of her life.
-
Christmas and stocking gifts for the nurse in your family.
-
Preceptor and coworker thank-yous — the person who trained you, covered your shift, or talked you off a ledge in the break room.
-
"Thank you for taking care of my mom." The gift you bring back to the unit after a hard week.
-
New job, promotion, retirement, and birthdays for ER, ICU, NICU, hospice, home health, travel and school nurses.
How to pick a nurse gift she'll actually keep
Two rules, learned from a lot of customers standing at our counter:
-
Practical beats decorative. A lidded travel mug, a notepad that fits in a scrub pocket, a pen that doesn't walk off — these get used every single shift. Novelty items with a joke on them get one laugh and then a shelf.
-
Gift-boxed saves you. Several pieces here arrive in their own gift box, so you're not wrapping anything the night before Nurses Week.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good gift for a nurse under $30?
A gift-boxed ceramic travel mug is our most-requested nurse gift under $30. Nurse-themed notepads and notebook sets run $6.50 to $18 if you need something smaller, or several somethings for a whole unit.
What do you get a nurse who just graduated?
Something with a little permanence — a keepsake mug or a nice notebook set she'll carry into her first job. New grads are usually short on everything, so practical and gift-boxed wins.
When is Nurses Week?
National Nurses Week runs May 6–12 every year, starting on National Nurses Day (May 6) and ending on Florence Nightingale's birthday (May 12). If you're buying for a whole unit, order a week or two ahead — our nurse gifts are stocked in small quantities.
Do you have gifts for a whole nursing unit or floor?
Yes. The notepads, notebooks and balloons in this collection work well for buying in multiples. If you need a larger quantity than what's showing in stock, contact us at Adelyne's Boutique & Gifts and we'll see what we can order in.
Where are you located?
We're a boutique and gift shop selling online at shopadelynes.com and in store. Everything in this collection ships, and quantities are limited to what's on the shelf.
